On December 23, 2005, covering the topic of new beginnings of prosperous achievements in Henan News Broadcast, Henan television station broadcasted the special report about Henan Zhongpin. The title of the report was "The Leading Enterprise with Strong Muscle Healthy to the Bone Led the Farmer to the Road of Richness.” The special report covered Zhongpin role in China’s agricultural industrial production. As one of the first national leading agricultural industrialized enterprises, supported by the country’s industry policies and all levels of governments and related functional departments, Henan Zhongpin Food Share Co., Ltd, is a fully develop agricultural industrial company. The report went on to state that Zhongpin is playing a significantly more important role in shifting the rural surplus labor force, improving the peasant’s income and promoting the region’s agriculture structure adjustment. In China, a large agricultural nation, the problems of “agriculture, farmers and villages" represent a high degree of concern to both the Prime Minister and ordinary citizens as industrialized agriculture conforms to the both national condition and to Henan. Speaking more clearly, the leading agricultural industrialization enterprises are sharing its pains with the government. Therefore, Henan Province promulgated policies step by step to increase support to the leading industrialized enterprises, including preferential benefits such as capital and tax revenue. Mr. Ben, Zhongpin’s Deputy General Manager, stated when interviewed, according to the required standardized, specialized, the industrialized principle, Zhongpin developed 42,000 Chinese acres agriculture industrialized farms, while leading 26,000 households farmers to step onto the road to richness by order form agriculture and that the enterprise would continue to strengthen.
July 25, 2006, Jing Hua Times - At the 2006 International Meat Assembly held yesterday by the International Meat Secretariat and China Meat Association, Zhonpin and five other enterprises received certificate for membership. The Vice Secretary of China Meat Association, Mr. Bian Zenlin, said that including the three current members of the International Meat Secretariat, the association now has nine members. Statistics show that Shangdong province, Henan province and Inner Mongolia represent 69.22% of the total profit in the industry.
In talking about Zhongpin’s development, Mr. Ben discussed that the second phase of the food park that is a national funded project and would be put into production with more than RMB 300million’s investment, among which were funds from national finance. Mr. Ben concluded with the interview by telling the reporter with confidence that in 2006 the company’s revenue would exceed 2 billion yuan, and would increase by more than 80%. |
